Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I'm sure there is a quick and easy way to do this...

I've taken points from a shape in Rhino, is there a way to deconstruct the points and rebuild them in Grasshopper, so that it doesn't rely on information from Rhino? I feel like this is more to do with copying lists and extracting information from them in an efficient way.

Thanks,

Laurens

Re-build the points?  Or the lines that connect them?

Are you aware of the 'Internalize data' option on the 'Point' param?  (right-click)

Have you played with 'DeBrep (Deconsruct Brep)' to get the edges and vertices (points) from your Rhino shape?

Basically, I just want to be able to delete the model in Rhino and have the points generate in Grasshopper, just so that it isn't dependant on Rhino geometry.

That's what 'Internalize data' is for - available on all geometry params (tab "Params | Geometry").  Be sure to try 'DeBrep (Deconsruct Brep)' too.

Thanks!
