multiple number of closest points>proximity3d

Hi all!

i am using Proximity3d tool and I wonder if I can get for each point a different number of closest points. So if I feed a list of points and then feed a list of numbers stating how many connections I want for each point, I get a Proximity3d calculation for each point for each number. So if I have 5 points and a list of 5 numbers, I get a result which is as if the computer calculates 5 times the proximity where each time all the points have the same number of connections according to the list.

What i want is each point to have a different number of connections. Does anyone know how to get there?

Hi etsim, did you have something like this in mind?

well this does work in that direction. but by doing it so I lose the opportunity to use the other options Proximity3d offers: R- and R+.

I just upload a file to have so we can work on it. I have an attractor which defines the number of connections for each point.

I still can't find it

Ok, this one should work

edit: sorry, still making several duplicates, will get back with a better one!

Mire thank you very much. It does work,

but I am working with a very large number of points something like 8.000 pts so I am not sure if my pc can handle it... In fact it's dying right now..
