Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I am trying to create a freeform tower, composed of mesh quads. I have the tower created, with each vertex in a single data tree and I am now trying to create a series which will define the quad faces of my mesh.

This is working for the most part, however where the last face of each 'layer' meets the first face, there is an error and my meshes aren't quite forming properly. I can't seem to work out what I should be inputting in series to form the quad faces, without entering each of the 90 or so faces manually.

Definition and image attached. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom

I think I have found a solution, it involves creating a number of separate series that define the pattern of the points list for each vertex.

Each series is then given an expression to ensure the correct number of values are generated.

The weave component is used to insert values from one series into another to compile a correctly ordered list.

Definition attached.

that works also but here's a simpler way imho

Hi Ethan,

Thanks very much! That's great, good to know that there's a simpler way of doing it!
