algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi, I am trying to make a kind of slotted joint to connect the skin and ribs of my model.

However, I can't seem to trim the circle with the 'V' line as shown in the photo.

Please help!

I'm sorry if it's a trivial question!

You could try extending your V curves beyond the circle.

Okay so I think I did split the circle by making the circle as a surface and split the surface with the extended V curve.

But now I cant seem to choose the bottom part of the surface. Even with List Item, I changed the integer from 0 to 1 but nothing is chosen.

You need to check that the V curve is Joined as one. And that the output has the two surfaces on one branch in order to be able to select at least one from the list.

I may have failed :(

use [Shift Paths] instead and control the number of collapsed branches by the negative integer

I'm not sure how to proceed from there now :/

Its not a straight forward issue as you have duplicates and the data matching goes astray.

Try this approach

Right. So I managed to continue from your solution, and I am now trying to create like a notch at the bottom of the circle surfaces, so that it can fit in with the extrusion underneath.
Then I region difference-d the circle with a newly created polyline.

However, when I baked, only few were succesful.

Why is that?
