Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi there!

I'm a still a rookie with G+R, but keen on making some progress!

I'm experimenting with facade concept, but I don't know how to rotate separately each square with the axis of on of the edges (fixes - the same for every single square) + I'm not quite sure how to make the pipes "follow" changable corner location of each square. I'm trying to make sth possible to easily construct in reality of course :)

Maybe somebody knows how to rotate them depending on the attactor points?

The closer a point is the more these squares rotate (open) ?

Appreciate any hints or ideas!!

Files encloused!

Regards!

Thank you for a reply, Racha Cuca.

But I didn't specify:

1) I would like to rotate them in X-axis, not Z

2) These pipes should follow corners of squares (for a construction), after scale/rotation process...

Any hints?

here a answer for the pipes...but you have to specify "x-axis" of what/which object.

or is this what you are looking for ?

Hey!

The first picture with the pipes is exactly what I meant - thanks!

The other one - "more or less". The thing is you rotated them in y axis not x,

and the rotation surface should be on the same surface as the pipe - so the "plate" is still sticked together with the "pipe" (construction). I didn't think about the joints yet, that can be tricky :P
