algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi

I am trying to divide a surface into a certain shape of curves (parallelogram grid) , using map to surface approach , I modeled  my parallelogram grid in grasshopper , I used the typical process of map to surface  , but curves didn't map to the surface 

P.s , bounding box in union box 

can any one help , thank you

It will be more sufficient to build sub-surfaces individually, rather than splitting one large surface.

Could be any method to pick the right points. E.g. like this:

Thank you dear Philip , I appreciate your help 

I applied your definition grid on my surface using evaluate surface approch ,but the results was nothing but a mess , I did the following : 

1- surface grid using surface from points component , (it works but it gives one error about u amount..)

2-divided the grid curves using divide curve component 

3- surface closest point  , its points are connected to step 2 , and its surface are connected to step 1

4- evaluate surface m the surface input is connected to target surface , and the uv point are connected to its sister at step 3 

5- poly line which its vertics input is connected to the output points of evaluate surface 

unfortunately the results are not as excpected , 

i appreciate your help
