Exoskeleton + Cytoskeleton Components

Daniel Piker and I are excited to repackage an updated Exoskeleton with his new Plankton-based mesh wireframe thickening tool Cytoskeleton into a single GHA.

Although both components have been tested and improved upon from their original setups, this GHA is still a work in progress, and hopefully in the upcoming months you'll find further upgrades to these in…

mesh(+) Version 1-08.1 now available

mesh(+) version 1-08.1 release

This update to mesh(+) is a minor update, adding 4 new components to the modify category.

- Branch component: Subdivides and extrudes faces recursively

- Attractor component: Uses distances from a sample point to control number of face subdivisions

- FaceSubD: Subdivides a mesh based on each face’s center

- EdgeSubD: Subdivides a mesh based on the midpoints of each edge…

mesh(+) Version 1-08 now available

This update to mesh(+) is a revision of the Volume Based Mesh and Modify categories which introduces list inputs for controlling vertex and face based variables on the input meshes.

- For Mesh Volume Based components all (d) and (t) values allow a list of variable to be passed which correspond to the vertex index of the input mesh. Single inputs can also be provided and lists of variables that are shorter than the vertex list will simply repeat the last value in the series for each…

mesh(+) Version 1-04 now available

mesh(+) Version 1-04 release

A major update to mesh(+) adding a new expand category which allows for the creation of triply periodic surfaces as well as several new components for expanding mesh faces, creating woven meshes and analyzing angles.

Additionally, several components have been updated and errors corrected as well as unifying all outputs with common face normal directions when possible.…

Update: Data Lab | Workshop Content

With some of the exercises from the NON-LINEAR LAB as inspiration and in preparation for the DATA LAB, we’ve been creating some fun new content as of late. Topcs will include Advanced Data Tree Usage, Python Scripting in Grasshopper, and Exploring Add-ons such as Weaverbird and Kangaroo. Specifics can be found in the sections below. The workshop is quickly approaching and there…
