Hi, i have a simple question.I have a grid of boxes where i want them to be extruded in relation to the distance from a curve.I could get it to work where the further it is from the line the higher…Continue

control over 3D Grid points

Hi,i've created a 3d grid of points in rhino and i want to give it a  system so that i can have a systematic control over each point of the grid. For example a 4x4x4 grid.i want to create a polyline…Continue

Rules for Rabbit Plug-in

Hi,I'm currently trying to understand all the symbols or the rules of how Rabbit works to create a hilbert curve. I know that F means moving forward, ' -' and '+' is turn left and right etc.But what…Continue

Extruding base on distance

Hi, i have a simple question.I have a grid of boxes where i want them to be extruded in relation to the distance from a curve.I could get it to work where the further it is from the line the higher it extrudes.But what do i do if i want it the other way around? (The closer it is to the line the higher it extrudes)In the files attached i have a simple surface which i am working on.There's probably a simple way to do it but i must have over looked it. Please hint what should i do. thanks in…See More

control over 3D Grid points

Hi,i've created a 3d grid of points in rhino and i want to give it a  system so that i can have a systematic control over each point of the grid. For example a 4x4x4 grid.i want to create a polyline that populates the grid in a forward/backward/left/right/up/down manner in other words only within the XYZ axis one point at a time (like a 3D hilbert curve). For instance the starting point is at 1,1,0 (XYZ).to move one step right is to point 2,1,0 ,to move one step forward is to point 1,2,0and to…See More

MORPHOCODE replied to Shermanoz's discussion 'Rabbit: L-system Production Rules'
Hi, we've described the basic principles here: http://morphocode.com/rabbit-l-systems/ seed: A rules: A = AB B = BA n=0: A (the axiom) n=1: AB (A is rewritten according to the rule A=AB) n=2: ABBA (A -> AB, B -> BA) -> in result you…

Rabbit: L-system Production Rules

Hi, can anyone help me understand how to read the production rules of Turtle's L-system in the Rabbit plug-in?i know the basics of the rules but i can't find a tutorial or explanation how to read them.Especially when there are multiple rules acting at the same time it gets really confusing.For example: Rule 1 = 2FF[+1]Rule 2 = F[1]-2From what (i think) i understand in general, Step 1 reads rule 1.Step 2 reads rule 1 then rule 2.Step 3 reads rule 1 then rule 2 then rule 1Step 4 reads rule 1…See More

Rules for Rabbit Plug-in

Hi,I'm currently trying to understand all the symbols or the rules of how Rabbit works to create a hilbert curve. I know that F means moving forward, ' -' and '+' is turn left and right etc.But what does the '&' and 'C' and '^' do?Are there more types of rules i can apply to it to make it do other types of stuff like maybe turn 45 degrees instead of 90?Thanks.Sherm.
