Creating a mathematical curve

Hey world,- I was wondering, what is the simplest way of defining a curve based on a mathematical formula? Both F(t)=x(t, a1, a2...)+y(t, b1, b2...)+ z(t, c1, c2...) and F(x, a, b ,c...), and/or any…Continue

"Thank you. But isn't an Interpolated curve by definition not a NURBS curve? Grasshopper Primer p 69 implies that it is not a NURBS curve (except for w. degree 1, which makes sense :)).  "

The interpolation curve used by Grasshopper

Hello world, a quick question about the interpolation curve.I have tried finding this information in the GH Primer as well as in previous discussions, but no luck. What type of curve is the interpolation curve used by grasshopper? I want to be able to predict the consequence of changing its curve degree. I have found some articles describing B-splines and the differences between the degrees, but I need to confirm/disconfirm that this is the curve used :) If you know of any source of information…See More

"It's hidden in the render settings. I'm not sure whether this will actually affect the calculation. You get some slightly differnent coloration depending on the number of faces and the subdivisions, but this might be only a display issue."

The Mesh Load component

Hello world, I thought I could shear I difficulty I am having with you.I have managed to create a set of beams that I am satisfied with ( a rotational symmetric shell ). However, I have alot of difficulty with the interpetation of the load. It is crucial for me to be able to use the "local to mesh/global/global proj." feature of MLoad. I am not able to discretize the area between the beams to the mesh faces and corresponding positions for point loads. Do you have any advice here?I tried drawing…See More
