algorithmic modeling for Rhino

 

naked edges at the second step of weaver-bird smoothness process exit  well if we have an organized input mesh, but it can not exit if we have a delaunay mesh as an input .

any suggestions ????

Hi Mostafa,

next time could you please ask this question in the Weaverbird group? It's hard for me to find it otherwise.

If the naked side has a large gap, and is relatively thin, the result of Catmull-Clark is exactly what you see. What I can suggest is to apply first a constant-quads subdivision, and then do the rest of the calculations also with C-C if necessary. I'm attaching an example.
