Hi.

The grid points from paneling tool are not arranged in order.

Hence, you are better off sorting grid's every branch point order respectively.

And in order to achieve dia-grid shape, You'll need point order offset and "Relative Item" is useful.

Another method is using Weaverbird plug-in's "Mesh from Lines" after shattering every lines at their intersections.
