algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi everyone.
I'm stuck with an interpolation solver i need to build.
I've replicated the problem in a smaller definition, I hope it's small enough to explain the problem.
Basically I rotate a point by a list of angles (A), creating a nurb curve.
Then I rotate that curve by another list of angles (B) to get a surface.
Then I evaluate a sample point, and get its closest point UV coordinates.
As the surface is reparametrized, I can interpolate trough A and B lists using U and V values.
This to get a final A and B angles to rotate again the starting point to achieve exactly the same point of the projected closest point on surface i did first.
It's not working. It's not accurate.
In the attached definition the problem should be easier to understand.
(in the final definition there are not just rotations, but orient trasformations, but should be the same solution)
Thanks a lot in advance.
Cya!
