Help with Hinges Structure

Hey Everyone, 

Im currently working on a project where I need to do some sort of fabric made of several meshes connected by hinges.

I can´t manage to do the pivotal hinges part.  Its a bit far from my expertise.

Im intending to create something of the looks of the attached images, on a simpler form, that connect the modules we re creating.  We have studied the possibility of transforming the quadrangular meshes into triangular, but still we need to connect them, due to the dimensions of the printer we have available.

We need to create some sort of topographic set .
