generative modeling for Rhino
Hi Guys,
I have two lists of points and would dispatch the first list to make it similar to the other one (see below). I have tried doing this based on distance but having one list larger than the the other one makes it tricky!
Many thanks,
Arthur
above: List 1 is made of the center points. List 2 is the one with numbers. How to extract a similar list than list 2 from list 1?

It looks similar to the Cull Nth Nth solution I put together here: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/2nd-item-from-every-2nd-r...

Thanks so much for your replies!
I am not entirely sure if the strategy you mentioned can work in this case:
I need to extract specific polylines from a first list based on a second list made of points (the first list is not a regular cull of the second one). The second list has less items than the first one, please see below (the first list is green and second red).
When using the distance component to dispatch the first list (using the centroid of the polylines and the second list), the cross-reference generates more lines than the first list itself. This makes it very difficult to extract the specific polylines needed...
Permalink Reply by Danny Boyes on December 11, 2011 at 5:01pm I lost my phone last week, with it all my numbers, text me tomorrow and when I get in the office I'll call you to sort out exactly what's needed. I've got #2 daughter's Nativity play until 11am so will be after that.

I approached the problem in a slightly different way... I hope the play was nice!
I'll text you my number, lets meet up again soon.
