algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I need some urgent help figuring out a method of efficiently modelling the ramps that wrap around a spheres in grasshopper. I have used an interpolate curve definition to get the spiral curves and am modelling everything in rhino from then on.
The design intention is each of these spheres is an auditorium that vary in size, it is a multiplex. I would really appreciate some help on how I would go about minimizing the modelling work load in rhino by developing a definition that-
1. Generates a curves around the spheres
2. Joins curves together to form a intertwining route that wraps around multiple spheres (as the white mass on image), ideally forming 1 continuous spirals around all spheres (if thats not possible, the minimum number of spirals)
3.Sweeps these curves to generate these enclosed ramps.
(4). The next step is to intersect the ramps with the spheres and generate the structure for the spheres, which I have worked on to some extent.
The design is at its early stages and would appreciate any input or feedback you may have regarding this.
Many thanks in advance,
Rish
