how to input 2d/3d animation in grasshopper

As far as I know, this is not possible (maybe with scripting?). In the past I have dealt with it by converting the animation to a sequence of static images and then creating one image mapper per frame (looks like a mess in your definition and is a real PITA) and then using a slider to choose which mapper is providing the desired data. If the image mapper would accept a string as an input for the file path, this process could be greatly streamlined... hint hint David, if you're reading...
