Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Could not load file or assembly 'Pachyderm_Acoustic, Version=2.6.0.14.

Hi Arthur,
I'm experiencing a persistent issue with the Pachyderm components in Grasshopper. While the plugin works correctly when launching a simulation directly from Rhino, as soon as I open Grasshopper I receive a series of errors, and it's impossible to run any simulations.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin using the Package Manager. It initially seemed to fix the issue, but the problem returned shortly after, and subsequent reinstalls didn’t help. I'm not sure what's causing this. Could it be related to compatibility between different versions or a change in how the plugin is loaded in Rhino 8? Has anyone else reported a similar issue?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,
This usually means that you haven't loaded Pachyderm in rhino for that session.

The grasshopper interface just operates the rhino plug-in, so you must run a Pachyderm for rhino command before opening grasshopper.

Thanks, that worked! I’m also noticing that simulations seem slower compared to the Rhino 7 version. Some of the simulation options in the plugin interface have changed, and I no longer see the “multi-processor simulation” option. Is Pachyderm for Rhino 8 currently running simulations on multiple cores, or is it limited to a single core? Is there something else that I'm missing?
