algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hey guys,
I´m trying to construct a gridshell from straigt elements and not curved. So far i have projected a flat quad grid onto a dome surface: Theese lines are curved and i want straight line. Therefore I found the intersection point for curve/curve:
Now i wanna connect theese point so i get a grid as shown above, but with straight lines between each point. I just don´t know how to do this.
Can anybody help?
Thanks..
Frede

Thank you so much !!
Get the deep space (tm)(C) version as well: No components of any kind (other than the viz stuff). A nasty bug (read comments) persists ... so if any man out there is brave enough ...
This total control of things permits you to do stuff that you'll never imagine (like complex space frames of any imaginable combination ... blah blah).
PS: Watch the milliseconds time counter.
I hear you: but I don't know C#. Well ... go buy a book this very moment.

Print("I'm disabled (like you)");
return;
:D
Indeed that was the bug.
the fix: if (enable) {Print("disabled for this month"); ExecuteCntlAltDefeat();}
Get the new and much improved totally(?) bug free(?) V2

How do i do it for a triangular grid?
Hey Daniel,
I used your solution for on an ellipsoid but some of the lines were missing. Do you have any idea why that would happen and how to solve it?
Thanks!
