Hi,

You need at least SR 12.

Arthur

This error seems like an install issue- maybe inputs wrong? Occurs on both Poly and Nurbs nodes. First time user. Can you assist? Installed 2.0 Thanks!

"1. Solution exception:Could not load file or assembly 'Pachyderm_Acoustic, Version=2.0.0.2, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

Hi Mark,
It might be an installation issue, but I doubt it. It's more likely that you haven't loaded the rhino plugin yet.

Try closing rhino, and opening it again. Before opening grasshopper, type 'Pachyderm_Acoustic' into the command prompt, and press enter.

The pachyderm for rhino interface will appear.

Now open grasshopper, and try what you were doing again. Let me know if that works.

The yep plugins talk to each other, so you need to have both loaded for grasshopper.

Anyone running Pachyderm in Rhino 6?

Having a hard time installing for some reason (its probably just me!)

Hi,

Even I had problems with the Pachyderm running on Rhino 6.

Did you receive any update from Arthur regarding the beta version?

Hoping to receive a positive response.

Hi David,

It's not you. I have a beta version for the rhino 6 install.

Email me if you want it.

Hi Arthur,

I have been working on an acoustic project for my master thesis, even I had problems with the Pachyderm running in Rhino 6.

I would like to have the beta version for rhino 6 if possible, it could be of great help for me.

Hoping for a positive response.

Thank you in advance.

Hello Everyone, I have installed Pachyderm. But when I open the folder of the program in "Program Files", the Rhino Plug-in file does not exist. I have tried to rerun the installation and chose the repair option but it did not solve the problem. Has anyone had this problem before?

Hi Behdad,

Does the plugin run in Rhino?

The actual plugin is installed in its own folder in program files.

C:\Program Files\Pachyderm_Acoustic\

I can't remember, but I think it may also let you choose the installation location.

Hi everyone,

I have been interested in holistic design process. With Ladybug it is possible to make many environmental simulations.

Currently I am interested in learning Pachyderm for interior architectural acoustics and for environmental noise mitigation in the design phase.

I have installed and followed the tutorials of Isak in Vimeo up to "Grasshopper 1". I have Rhino 7 installed. Pachyderm and Grasshopper definitions are installed.

I don´t have the "apply material" button though. Has the plugin changed since the tutorials or it can be a problem of not being compatible with Rhino 7?

Rhino-GH stopped working when following the steps of tutorial "Simulation 6 - Mapping" and "Simulation 8 - Grasshopper 1".

I think there must be an issue or maybe I am doing something wrong. Attached is a screenshot of what happened.

Please let me know if you can help.

Hi Arvind,

The plugin has changed since the tutorials. The apply button was removed due to a few user requests. It now applies automatically when you click a material.

Regarding grasshopper stopping, what you are seeing there is the convergence checker. Unfortunately, update of the checker does not work correctly in grasshopper, but the simulation is still running. If you wait for it, it should complete the simulation. If you would rather specify the number of rays, you can deactivate convergence by right clicking on the ray-tracing component.

Thank you for your reply! It works with the materials. Sometimes not al layers show in the Pachyderm menu. Opening and closing Pachyderm in Rhino, sometimes does the trick, or closing Rhino and opening again.
