Problem with simple line connection

Hi,

I'm trying to create vertical louvers that will rotate with the number slider. I'm having a hard time connecting two points. 

First source of points: a series of identical curves divided into 3.

Second source of points: the same divided lines, moved in z-direction by some value.

For whatever reason, the values of the second point source appears to be flattened. What am I doing wrong?
