Rhino Help how to reorient order of point in a clock/anticlockwise direction

Hi guys, in new in using grasshopper and i was wondering if there is a way i could rearrange the order of the point? i try to connect a point to the end of the slider but still i could not access the manage point collection. i attached an image below i hope it make more sense

Thanks for your reply Peter i really appreciate it, it takes me some time to understand how your grasshopper file works, and i think it works cause all your point is along a poly line which mine unfortunately does not, my model is kind like individual points on different line which need to be arranged in order so that i could create a poly line along those point,

i attached my grasshopper file, i tried to use panels which is a long process , was wondering if there is a quicker way to do it

No, no ... test pts are jittered (shuffled randomly, so to speak) in order to indicate the "sorting" approach (the most "classic", that is - others available as well).

Of course instead of flipping the sorting curve you could "flip" (reverse) the List (the disabled component).

Exploded Polyline is used for viz purposes only (never apply the Pipe on a polyline: VERY slow for good reason).

more soon.

And the "technique" applied to your points.

NOTE: NOT all the cases are addressable that "classic" way (sort along a curve as the intersection of Plane (Fit) VS Sphere (Fit)).

Omg Peter, thanks you so much,

i have more plug in to play with now, from your system i might reuse some on other parts aswell, specially the piping.

what interesting about your System that it works with all different number of edges which would not happen if i use my previous methods, not really sure what some of the plug do but i will have to segment it to understand how it works

Really appreciates your help =)

Chris

Well as I said the sorting (and/or the reverse thingy: either by flipping the curve or reversing the Point List) using a fitted Plane and a fitted Sphere is the first and rather the easiest approach to use IF your topology is "cooperative" (in this case is).

BUT there's other cases that can't being solved that way. If this happens and before using freaky code(s) and the likes use a convex hull curve as the guide sorting curve. If this fails ... well... what about some other case? he, he

Anyway ... some day in the future ... remind me to send you some really freaky cases (addressed(?) via equally freaky "ways").

BTW: Get this LOL case as well.

Obviously the 2 other cases are deliberately chosen in order to yield "unsolvable" stuff ... but I do hope that you'll get the gist: not all bananas are yummy and yellow.

Load R file first, get a Dramamine and have "fun".

best
