Hi Andy,
I saw a component in firefly called Leap Finger Tracker. I was wondering if this one works for the newest Leap-Motion Controller? Or there is another component told 'Leap-to-Grasshopper' I need to install?

Hi Riccardo,

This was using the Leap component in Firefly, not Primate.

I don't think this exact demo will work any more, but I'll try and put up an updated one for the new Kangaroo soon.

Hi Daniel!

I've downloaded the leap motion software and Primate plugin.

Primate's output seems far different from what you show in this video.

Can you share the definition you used here?

Thanks for all the great stuff, as always.

Hi Eduard (and those with the early developer boards of the LEAP sensor).  I'm happy to share my development of this component for beta testing.  Please email me (andyopayne[at]gmail[dot]com) and I'll try to send over the necessary files.

Wonderful, Daniel! I have Leap Motion on the work and I want test it with Grasshopper. Is it possible to get Leap-to-Grasshopper component?

From the unofficial FAQ on the leapmotion forums:

Will they release the SDK software / documentation for everyone?

Yes, the SDK will be useable and downloadable by everyone at a later date. So even if you don’t get a free SDK package, you can still develop applications later on!

After pre-ordering the leap motion in sept 2012 I've been daydreaming about integrating it into a number of applications [such as grasshopper]. Too bad I lack the coding skills to apply for a development kit :). So I'm eagerly waiting for the device.

It's good to know that there are people working on plugins for the leap motion, thanks for sharing!
