rights to register the "mapwingis.ocx" file.Francesco, would you be patient just a tiny little bit, so that we could try something else? I would be grateful if you could.
1) Close Grasshopper and Rhino2) Run the Revo Uninstaller Pro and uninstall your MapWinGIS application along with removing all the leftovers from the registry.3) Restart your PC, and once it boots again, make sure that you are logged in as an Adminstrator.4) In your Start menu's search box type: "UAC", which will find your User Account Control Settings. Click on it, and a new window will open. Set the bar on the left to "Never notify".5) Turn off your Antivirus, which ever it is.6) Download the 64 bit version of v4.9.4.2 MapWinGIS.7) Right click on downloaded MapWinGIS-only-v4.9.4.2-x64.exe file, and choose "Properties". If there is "Unblock" button click on it, and then click on "OK". If there is no "Unblock" button, just click on "OK".8) Left double click on MapWinGIS-only-v4.9.4.2-x64.exe file and install it to "C:\dev\MapWinGIS" folder. Choose "Full installation" during installation process!9) In your Start menu's search box type: "CMD". Once the "Command prompt" appears do not left click on it! Instead right click on it, and choose "Run as Administrator".10) A command prompt window will open. Type the following command:
"your_regsvr32_folder_path\regsvr32.exe" /u /s c:\dev\mapwingis\mapwingis.ocx
If command does not result in an error message, then type this one afterwards:
"your_regsvr32_folder_path\regsvr32.exe" /s c:\dev\mapwingis\mapwingis.ocx
11) If no error appeared again, then open your Rhino and Grasshopper and check what Gismo_Gismo component prints from its "readMe!" output.If errors appeared, it would be nice if you could post their screenshots.…

e is changed.
This is what I am trying to achieve: If the dropdown component is changed, the c#-component should update the slider... It is also working with GH_Document.SolutionEnd Event but as far as I understand, this will recompute the whole solution. So if there is a huge script following downstream, this will be called always twice (correct?). I would like the script to:
1. detected the change of an input parameter value 2. stop the script and set a few sliders 3. continue computing downstream stuff.
Thanks in advance!
private void RunScript(System.Object mySliders, bool startme, ref object A) { if (!startme) return;
if (_running) return;
_run = true;
Component.Params.ParameterChanged += new GH_ComponentParamServer.ParameterChangedEventHandler(OnSolutionEnd);
}
// <Custom additional code> private bool _run = false; private bool _running = false;
private void OnSolutionEnd(object sender, GH_ParamServerEventArgs e) { // Unregister the event, we don't want to get called again. Component.Params.ParameterChanged -= OnSolutionEnd;
// If we're not supposed to run, abort now. if (!_run) return;
// If we're already running, abort now. if (_running) return;
// Reset run and running states. _run = false; _running = true;
foreach (IGH_DocumentObject obj in GrasshopperDocument.Objects) { if(obj is Grasshopper.Kernel.Special.GH_NumberSlider) { var slider = obj as Grasshopper.Kernel.Special.GH_NumberSlider; slider.TickValue = 9; _running = false; } } }

mainly grasshopper. (If it were just Rhino it perhaps would have been easier for me). I've been working on it for a while now and I unfortunately am a bit stuck.
Below are some of my concerns:
1) I know the theory of what I'm suppose to do which is to have the rectangular base and scale it then array it up. However I noticed that the thickness of the each lath and support varies. There are 25 laths in all and from the structure diagram I have gathered that there are basically 4 groups of the same thickness from the base going up its the first 9, then 7, then 5 and then the top 3. I just can't seem to figure out how to vary the thickness. I would assume the attached lath and support definition diagrams would help but unfortunately I don't know how to read it. I've tried some formulas which didn't exactly work but I still included them in the file.
2) I also need to figure out how to create the hole in the structure which is the entrance. I know in Rhino I could just Boolean it out but is there a way to do it in grasshopper?
3) I also need helping figuring out the definition for putting the vertical supports in between each row. The diagram says something fancy about "Testing acceptable constraints in flexion and in shear, we find an acceptable eccentricity that varies with each row." Ok maybe it wasn't so fancy but I have no clue how to do that with grasshopper!
4) My lecturer wants a Structure Simulation which I'm going to assume is what number 3 is all about?
I've attached my progress so far and would appreciate any help possible. I'd prefer if anyone could guide me using basic things (without any fancy plug-ins unless it's absolutely necessary).
However, any help is appreciated! Thank you so much in advance.
Cheers!
Jo

The PC actually stops working because after a few seconds the simulation starts the fan inside the PC all of a sudden stops and for the next 5-10 mins I cannot do anything, even alt+ctrl+canc. After I wait for that time i get the followig error:

The thing is that if I raise the -aa parameter from 0.05 to 0.1 all works fine..
Is this only related to my PC then?? What should I do to solve this issue?
Thanks again for your help

Predisposizione all’analisi algoritmica di base.
Rhino4: http://download.rhino3d.com/rhino/4.0/evaluation/download/
Rhino5: http://download.rhino3d.com/Rhino/5.0/evaluationtimed/
Mentre la plug-in e scaricabile in versione gratuita cliccando il seguente link
Grasshopper: http://download.rhino3d.com/Grasshopper/1.0/wip/

t you're trying to do something which is not possible. Some solutions spring to mind other than changing the messaging behaviour of the Tree Item component:
Have an option for all objects (not just Tree Item) that allows you to disregard warning and error feedback. Sometimes a component has warnings (or indeed errors) and yet it still functions as planned. This often also happens with auto-casting, for example if you're trying to find all the curves in some data. Pros: solves the same problem in the same way everywhere, Cons: yet another menu item and yet another thing to watch for.
A global switch that disables the warning and error colouration. Pros: easy fix, easy unfix. Cons: if you also disable message balloons then you can't see where errors are happening.
Add a component which filters valid paths and item indices which you could insert in front of the Tree Item component. Pros: a very Grasshopper standard solution, Cons: yet another esoteric component.
I've been thinking about changing the way branches and items are accessed. Basically wondering whether it makes more sense to combine the tree path and the item index into a single data-type "{0;0;2} (0 to 9)" which defines both the path and a range of items in that path. It could be made to work almost identical to current Tree Branch and Tree Item components but it could also do some other cool stuff in addition to that. For example you could have:
{0;0;1} which defines all the items in that branch
{0;0;1} (2) which defines the third item in that branch
{0;0;1} (0,1,2,4) which defines the first, second, third and fifth items in that branch
{0;0;1} (0 to 4) which defines the first 5 items in that branch
{0;0;1} (!3) which defines all items except the fourth in that branch
And I'm sure people can think of even more combinations of symbols and numbers that can be added. Most of this logic is already in place in the [Replace Branches] and [Split Tree] components.
