teraction for its Correlations cycle, AA Athens Visiting School scales up its design intentions in order to investigate links among discrete individual architectural systems in its 2013 version, Recharged.
Recharged with interconnectivity on different levels, the theme of investigation will revolve around the design of semi-independent design prototypes acting together to form elaborate unified results. The driving force in Cipher City: Recharged is the synergistic effect behind complex form-making systems where interactive design patterns arise out of a multiplicity of relatively simple rules.
In collaboration with the National Technical University of Athens, Cipher City: Recharged will explore participatory design and active engagement modeling and will continue building novel prototypes upon horizontal planes.
As in 2012, the design agendas of AA Athens and AA Istanbul Visiting Schools will directly create feedback on one another, allowing participation in either one or both Programmes.
Discounts
The AA offers several discount options for participants wishing to apply as a group or participants wishing to apply for both AA Istanbul and AA Athens Visiting Schools:
1. Standard application
The AA Visiting School requires a fee of £695 per participant, which includes a £60 Visiting Membership. If you are already a member, the total fee will be reduced automatically by £60 by the online payment system. Fees are non refundable.
2. Group registration
For group applications, there will be a range of discounts depending on the number of people in the group. The discounted fee will be applied to each individual in the group.
Type A. 3-6 people group: £60 (AA Membership fee) + 635*0.75 = £536.25 (25 %) Type B. 6-15 people group: £60 + 635*0.70 = £504.5 (30%) Type C. more than 15 people group: £60 + 635*0.65 = £472.75 (35%)

The PC actually stops working because after a few seconds the simulation starts the fan inside the PC all of a sudden stops and for the next 5-10 mins I cannot do anything, even alt+ctrl+canc. After I wait for that time i get the followig error:

giornata inaugurale sarà dedicata alla free-lecture introduttiva finalizzata alla realizzazione di un modello d'architettura complesso attraverso l'utilizzo di comandi e tecniche avanzate di rappresentazione con Grasshopper (plug-in parametrica di Rhinoceros) e 3dsMax. Sarà illustrato inoltre il potenziale di V-ray per 3dsMax realizzando un rendering concettuale. The seminar aims at re-centering the debate of measuring urban form on the contemporary issues of designing, planning and regulating the extensive city. It will bring together a group of international experts on the subject and the objective is to discuss the importance of combined qualitative-quantitative approaches on the generation of new insights on the contemporary urban environment and planning strategies.
The workshop presents a set of innovative approaches and methodologies using its own software. At the workshop participants will be invited to use the available toolset to address a specific urban issue where the construction of models for automatic measurement of urban indicators will be part of the urban design process.The workshop is intended for all urban planning professionals who want to improve their skills and knowledge as well as for students or doctoral students in urban planning. visiting school will continue its engagement with Mexico City from an infrastructural point of view taking advantage of the challenges and opportunities it poses/offers for the viability of one of the biggest metropolis on earth. The workshop will be constructed around key infrastructural issues such as the “Recovering of Waterscapes” and the “Reinforcement of Mobility Networks”. They will form the spine for the intervention through PROTOTYPICAL strategies within a tactical URBANISM framework.
The objective will be to explore and develop the concept of “urban prototype” capable of accommodating change and a degree of indeterminacy within the design process which will acquire its specificity by means of its on-site materialization. Paradigms of self-organized systems, distributed networks and uprising complexity will be introduced through systemic based design techniques, setting up counter models to conventional urban design and planning.
Based on this brief, students will have the opportunity to develop their skills through different methodologies based on the exploration of local conditions, engineering techniques, material processes, and the experimentation with digital, fabrication and representational tools.
The visiting school will run parallel units by AA tutors and graduates from across the school giving participants the opportunity to experiment the different lines of research currently being developed at the AA, in particular the visiting school will directly engage with the investigations within the research cluster “Urban Prototypes “.
In addition to this a symposium and series of lecture will to bring key figures, local and international, directly related to the design of the city (Minister of Urban development, architects and urban designers, authorities, artists among others). The event will finish with students presenting their work to local authorities and relevant actors and a public exhibition of the results.

The workshop is open to current architecture and design students, phd candidates and young professionals. All applicants should submit a CV and portfolio.

points (which increases the smoothness of the medial axis, and hence the accuracy of the output mesh), spikes appear in the voronoi diagram as shown below.
For reference the point spacing along the input curve is 0.2mm, and the extension of the overlapping cells is about 8mm
I have compared this result with the only other Voronoi implementation i could find in GH which is from SmartForm. SmartForm SMART Voronoi does not produce this error, however it is exponentially slower, taking approx 11 minutes compared to 2.5 seconds for the native component.
Is this a known problem with the accuracy of the GH Voronoi implementation? I have tried this with various Units settings in the RhinoDoc, with no change.
Any ideas?
Are there any other fast + accurate Voronoi implementations out there?
