by joining 2 Breps, each of which is a Loft surface made from 11 plane curves rotated by different amounts. The first BRep looks like this
and the second one is the same geometry, but with the curve rotations reversed (x * (-1)):
Apparently performing the curve rotation using reversed values causes the resulting surface normals to be reversed also. I've tried numerous methods (including mesh operations) to reverse them back, but nothing seems to actually do that. So I am hoping that someone here can point me in the direction of how to do this successfully.
My overall objective is to print parts that look like the old fashioned faceted cut glass bowls and trays.

During the intense ten-day workshop of the AA São Paulo Visiting School 2014, advanced computational design and digital fabrication will be used to generate speculative new architecture models in the creation of a ‘liquid design’ that can mediate multiple-scale flows. The workshop will explore the redevelopment of a bordering territory along the Marginal Rivers of São Paulo, where in the 1960’s, much of the water-system was disastrously canalized, causing problematic flooding and the creation of ill-conceived residual post-industrial riverbanks that are inhabited by monolithic, large-scale programs such as sports centers, distribution centers, mega-stores and a convention center. The Visiting School São Paulo will work on bringing a new urban life for these sites by redefining the existing macro-architectural typologies along the river with micro-scale interventions that can introduce new flows of urban street culture. Specifically, the workshop will focus on the reinvention of the large-scale market distribution center, CEAGESP (Companhia de Entrepostos e Armazéns Gerais de São Paulo), to introduce programs and structures that could mediate a new movement of people, commerce, and environmental forces using parametric design and fabrication. Students can choose to work either at the larger architectural scale or at the scale of the shop-front display, bringing a new contemporary interface between agricultural production and consumption.
-Teaching team The teaching team will include lead tutor Hart Marlow of su11 (www.su11.com) who specialize in advanced digital design, and local-based architects, to promote innovative strategies informed by local political, economic and environmental issues. -Computational skills
The workshop will teach advanced digital modeling and parametric design skills and rapid prototyping software: no previous experience is needed. A group of specialist computation tutors will conduct an initial skills workshop and continue to assist throughout the workshop to develop the individual projects of the participants. -Digital Fabrication A series of physical models will be built using digital fabrication techniques that will be taught during the workshop, no previous experience is needed.

o use these extensions in order to integrate numerous tools for analysis and simulation in the architectural process.
This course aims to develop a link between the virtual and the real context model through structural or environmental simulations, using other software or plug-ins dedicated. Through this link the virtual model receives physical properties that can further modify and adapt the initial model. This creates feedback loops that can optimize the design to provide an object responsive to environmental conditions.
Curriculum
Mesh subdivision with Weaverbird, continuous surfaces without NURBS
Genetic optimization with Galapagos, optimal search
Physical environment feedback with Diva and Geco, solar and day lighting analysis
Adding physical properties with Kangaroo Physics, interactive form-finding
Linking the parametric model with structural analysis using Karamba, structural performance simulation
Extracting data with Firefly and Kinect, 3D scanning and human movement tracking
Exchange of information between Grasshopper and other applications with Ghowl links to internet feeds or Excel files.

opper guru Andy Payne will take a look at the Grasshopper interface and walk through a series of examples that take advantage of various generative and associative modeling techniques.
Who is Presenting
Andy Payne is a licensed architect and founder of LIFT architects who is currently pursuing his doctoral degree at Harvard's Graduate School of Design.
Andrew’s work explores embedded computation and parametric design and is
a co-author (with Rajaa Issa) of The Grasshopper Primer which provides
an in depth look at the Grasshopper plug-in for Rhino.
Who Should Attend
Any Rhino user who is interested in adding generative modeling routines into their design workflow.…
am-10:45am Lecture/Classwork
Break 10:45am-11:00am
11:00am-12:30pm Lecture/Classwork
12:30pm-1:00pm Questions (optional participation)
Details: An outline of the class material is available HERE.
The class will be conducted in English using the GoToTraining software.
You will need Rhino 4.0 for Windows or the Rhino 5.0 for Windows beta installed. You will also need the latest build of Grasshopper. You may use the Rhino 4.0 for Windows evaluation version, however you will be limited to 25 saves. Using the Rhino for OSX WIP is not acceptable for this class.
NOTE: Pacific Time Zone!
Cost: 150.00 US$…
. They work well together.
I am however trying to link your work with some help that was provided earlier, as far as keeping this inded intact if a new road was added or if an existing line was changed. Basically this set of components would identify the new plot and set its index id as a new number, not interfering with the old plot numbers. E.g. there are 11 plots and I add a new curve after the second plot, the new plot would be numbered 12 and the original plots would continue with their old index numbers. That way no land use changes would be made if a new road was added. I'm trying to fit that into this new system. Obviously, I'm having some issues. If you're interested in taking a look, I've uploaded it here.
Hope all is well Peter!
Thanks to Pieter as well for providing some polyoffset insight!
