uired information, a poor representation of data evolve misreading messages and by turn ambiguous responses especially with complex data. Inforgraphics are graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge intended to present complex information quickly and clearly. In the nowadays flow of complex information, Infographics is the key for optimized visual communication. The use of infographics is an important step towards developing a pedagogical approach that draws on visuals where 90% of Information is transmitted to the brain so it is crucial to tickle the optic nerves to get people excited about data. The workshop investigates how computational tools can aid in designing and controlling complex information to be easily understood in addition to improve cognition by utilizing graphics to enhance the human visual system’s ability to see patterns and trends and much more likely to be remembered in today’s fast – paced environment. This workshop investigates multiple computational tools and techniques of developing coefficient visualization of data types including; network, statistical and hierarchal data. The workshop objective is to reconsider visual representation a promising design tool for architects, artists and designers. /// Application To apply, please follow this link to fill the application form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1HOv6c1_LzhHNJU5n_FLvuhC-Yg75HDfbEcq6TN6mulI/viewform /// Fees 1200 EGP for students / 1500 EGP for graduates and young professionals more info on the workshop webpage: http://www.encodestudio.net/#!infographics/cqvl

supplied _values of _keys" notice.I tried running the "OSM 3D" component first with groundTerrain_ input. As I did not get the upper notice message, I closed down the whole Rhino so that I cut the waiting time. Then I tried running it without the groundTerrain_ input, and in some 15 minutes I got the following buildings:
I think I may understand what was causing the problem: when one takes large radii, it covers large areas, and with this area comes large number of information (keys and values). You can get hundreds of keys (or thousands). What can happen is that: these hundreds of keys, can exceed shapefile's capacity to story keys. So basically in case of radius 750 meters your "height" or "buildings:levels" keys somehow slipped beyond this allowable capacity. In case of 800 meters they were somehow allowed to enter (a bit bad term sorry) before the allowable capacity is reached. This depends on the number of keys named with letters which precede the "h" and "b".The best way to solve this issue is to know which data do you actually need, and use the "OSM Keys" component to generate the list of needed keys. In this way, only those keys that you need will be used, others will be disregarded. You do not even have to use the "OSM Keys" component if you know which specific keys you exactly need. Check the attached file below. I grouped the "OSM Keys" solution as "a" and a custom defined list of keys as "b".
2) The component running time might now be cut with picked "requiredKeys_" input I mentioned at the end the previous 1) part.
3) "OSM 3D" component's "randomHeightRange_" input is suppose to do exactly that: to randomly create 3d buildings (or 3d trees) when there are no valid "height" or "buildings:levels" tags.I have just changed one line the "OSM shapes" component code.I wonder if it would make any problem on your PC.Please let me know if LocationGrabber03_Gismo2.gh file works.…

l operations. Aside from its geopolitical position and commercial significance, Thessaloniki has been for many centuries the military and administrative hub of the region, and beyond this the transportation link between Europe and the Levant. A series of design studies will be put forward to rethink the way by which city environment in Thessaloniki have been affecting its’ population according to changing needs and to visualize such urban shifts on a more hyper specific contextualized construction model. Throughout the investigations on the research agenda, current trends on the habits of architectural practice will be re-visited.
Innovative urban interventions informed by bottom-up rules extracted from existing city conditions will formulate the major focus of design proposals. Design teams will be working with simulation tools and digital fabrication methods throughout the design research phase. The design brief will be initially explored through the combinatorial use of different computational design tools. Methods of connecting form‐finding methods with form‐making techniques will be investigated. Various manufacturing techniques enabling a hands‐on experience on the diverse range of digital fabrication systems will formulate the starting point for the physical tests. Finally, the design and fabrication of a one-to-one scale pavilion will unify the goals of the programme.
Prominent features of the programme / skills developed:
- Participants will be part of an active learning environment where the large tutor to student ratio (5:1) allows for personalized tutorials and debates.
- The toolset of AA Thessaloniki includes Autodesk Maya, Rhinoceros, Grasshopper and Arduino.
- Participants will have access to digital fabrication tools such as 3-axis CNC router, laser-cutter, and 3d-printer.
- Design seminars and lecture series will support the key objectives of the programme, disseminating knowledge on new design anatomies including machinic control, computational space, and complexity in systems, and innovative urban design approaches.
Eligibility: The workshop is open to architecture and design students and professionals worldwide.
Accreditation: Participants receive the AA Visiting School Certificate with the completion of the Programme.
Fees: The AA Visiting School requires a fee of £600 per participant, which includes a £60 Visiting membership fee. The deadline for applications is 15 October 2015. No portfolio or CV is required.

point of view will be coupled with the study shapes in action. The experience around an architectural object will act as the central point of ambience for the user’s space. Assessing the way by which natural formations are created and exist as active players in shaping their environment will be achieved via digital simulation. Forms and structures will be created with an aim to alter the feeling of their surrounding by being put into motion. A series of morphologies will be designed, informed by biomimetic form-finding methods through a bottom-up approach via various coding techniques. A 1:1 scale structure will be put together, enabling experience of built space and of building materials in their sensory aspects as a result of a series of initial testing models. These proposals will be applied through the combination of different software including among other Processing, Arduino and Rhino Grasshopper.
The programme is organized in two stages:
Stage 1: Participants gain an understanding of formation processes in nature, coupled with core concepts related to design complexity. During this stage, basic and advanced tutorials on generative design algorithms and analysis tools will be provided. Building on its core methodology from its previous versions, AA Athens VS will perform as a team-based programme promoting collaboration and research. Participants will be introduced to advanced fabrication techniques.
Stage 2: Participants propose design interventions based on the skills and knowledge gained during the first stage. Study models of various scales will be produced, leading to the fabrication and assembly of a full scale working prototype which unifies the design goals of the programme.
The design agenda of AA Athens is linked to the AA Istanbul Visiting School, thus directly creating feedback on one another, allowing participation in either one or both Programmes.
Eligibility The workshop is open to architecture and design students and professionals worldwide.
Accreditation
Participants receive the AA Visiting School Certificate with the completion of the Programme.
