an almost planar tissue (your case) can cause a variety of issues up to the undo able state (metal parts/components grow in size as well for no reason). See forces estimated by FF below.

Therefor I strongly suggest to consider Plan B (a) mastermind a secondary "anchor" capability in order to achieve a far more stable system (b) use a mount design that can support this (and comply with the attractor concept of yours). Here's a variable mount custom system (mostly machined AND not cast) that is suitable for the scope (Rhino reads the stp file OK .... but makes a colossally big file - thus I attach here the original).
3. On first sight lot's of things in this system appear "odd". For instance: is it stable? Why these double cables are used? How far can be adjusted? (that's a classic case for feature driven parametric design - not doable with Rhino).
4. This concept (strut axis exported only) is tested in FORMFINDER and some other far more complex membrane apps that I use quite often (not RhinoMembrane). Here's is what FF tells us about:

5. If you insert the stp file to the Rhino file provided (exactly as exported from FORMFINDER - no mods of mine of any kind) you'll see what goes where (and why). That way the usage of double cables is rather obvious (and a lot other things - for instance the way that the struts achieve "equilibrium", see the slots in the base mount plate.

ode, I get the start points and end points of lines, in the output list there are duplicates of points and I don't know why. For example if I input 3 lines, instead of 6 points as the output, it gives me 17 points. How can I solve this problem?

er, but it does support other types of geometry. When it comes to curves Rhino actually has logic for a lot of different 'kinds' of curve:
Line
Polyline
Circle
Arc
Bezier
Polynomial
Polycurve
Nurbs
The first 6 types are just simpler than Nurbs curves. A line is defined by 2 points. A circle by a plane and a radius. etc. etc. However all these kinds of curves can be approximated by Nurbs curves. A line is defined by 2 points (and each point by 3 numbers, so in total 6 numbers define a single line), but you could make a nurbs curve that looks exactly the same. This curve would have two control-points, a degree integer, a knot vector containing 2 numbers, an integer specifying the dimensionality and maybe even a cached boundingbox and spatial-tree. Because of all this overhead we have a Line type to deal with just pure lines.
A polycurve is not really a 'type' of curve at all. It's just a topological construct that allows you to string together a bunch of curves of different type and different degrees into a single entity.
So when you have a curve that looks like a line, it can be any of the following (GH doesn't do beziers and polynomials):
an actual honest-to-goodness line
a polyline with a single segment (topologically and geometrically indistinguishable from a proper line)
a polyline with an arbitrary number of co-linear segments
a nurbs curve of degree=1 with two control-points
a nurbs curve of some arbitrary degree with an arbitrary number of co-linear control-points.
a polycurve combining any number of the above, provided all polycurve segments are co-linear.
In the first case Grasshopper will tell you you've got a "Line". In the other cases you're dealing with a "Line-like curve".
Very much the same goes for polylines, arcs and circles.

Led by plug-in developer and structural engineer Clemens Preisinger, along with Zeynep Aksoz and Matthew Tam from the expert Karamba3D team, this three-day workshop will focus on methods of setting up structural systems in the parametric environment of Grasshopper. The participants will be guided through the basics of analyzing and interpreting structural models, to optimization processes, and how to integrate Karamba3D into C# scripts.
This workshop is aimed towards beginner to intermediate users of Karamba3D. However, advanced users are also encouraged to apply. It is open to both professional and academic users. For beginner users of Rhino and Grasshopper, there will be an optional introductory course one day before the Karamba3D course.
Karamba3D 1is a parametric structural engineering tool which provides accurate analysis of spatial trusses, frames, and shells. Karamba3D is fully embedded in the parametric design environment of Grasshopper, a plug-in for the 3D modeling tool Rhinoceros. e actual method.
Below, I descibe how they work:
1) drag "scheduleDay" onto the canvas
2) drag some Gene Pool lists onto the canvas and connect a number slider - from 0 to 3.
3) connect the Gene Pool list to _genePool input. The component change some important features of the Gene Pool list automatically. Now you have LB_GenePool!!
4) choose the template that it's suitable for you.
5) disconnect LB_GenePool and if templates are not good, you can change them manually
6) drag "Ladybug annual schedule" onto the canvas
7) Connect LB_GenePools to inputs for the days of the week, Epw file and if you want to "_holiday" (in this way you consider holidays). Now you have your simple schedule.
8) a small workflow to visualize it into Rhino..
9) Connect "Ladybug annual schedule" to "Honeybee_Create CSV Schedule" to make your csv Schedule
You could make a schedule more complex than the one in the example above.
You can do that with _analysisPeriod input.

able all the components from that group.I know it's slowing down a lot, but the rhino performance is really poor on layouts. In Rhino 6 WIP it's a lot better though.
For the issue with different amount of drill holes i made an example script, how i would go for a solution to this. It's just a suggestion.
1) Do a little script that catches those holes and bake them to a separate layer.In my example i just generated them with GH.
2) Use RhinoCount (is installed with FabTools) to name the curves in Rhino by clicking one after the other. But first diable the layers, with the other geometry, so you don't accidentally click on geometry which you don't want to count.
You have 2 counters 1 for the part the second for the holes on each object. Increment the object counter if you have counted all holes of 1 object. By clicking on each hole the counter increments all by itself. Take a look at this command!
1 Click creates 1 Dot and renames the Rhino object. You can turn on/off all specific features of RhinoCount with the checkboxes. (see settings above)
And....this should be the result after some clicks:
3) If counted, you can reference the counted geometry again to GH with the counting as Datatree. (See attached GH File).
Then estimate the maximum amount of holes on one object in your drawing.Create a template with the amount of detail views and do the process from the layout tutorial again. For all objects with less holes you will have to delete the detail view which didn't have a target point or you do a sort of grouping for the hole centers and estimate the center of that group. You can be creative ;-)
