ty lots as extrusions with their height depending on perimeter length. Then I added a 'Cull Duplicates' group to avoid properties that had duplicate 'Area' centroid points. That reduced the number of properties from 364 down to 331, though five of those have 'Area' values between 88 and 205, ten have values less than 500 while the average is ~1.3 million!
So the data is still suspect. Some appear to be nested inside of others? But using those 331 properties, I now find 32 that intersect the 'Zoning Districts'. But that's not the same as a list of properties that span two or more 'Zoning Districts'... Not having fun anymore. :)

ts. Ideally, I'd like to set the exact number of points populating the region, ie 211 in GH = 211 visible in rhino.
(I was able to achieve the exact number of points using populate2d instead of sdivide, but could only get this to work with a simple rectangular region)
2) After I have exactly 211 points, I'd like to populate each of the points with a block made in rhino (for example: the stick figure man seen in the view)
(One idea is that I build a dummy geometry and replace later with my block in rhino. But how do I make this change universally over the 211 points?)

especially for non air conditioned, naturally ventilated space.
Our own thermal comfort survey in tropical context also indicate that:
1) people felling thermally neutral (thermal sensation vote = 0) tend to be predicted as feeling slightly warm as indicated by PMV value calculated, and
2) the adaptive model (ASHRAE 2013 ) seems to provide a close predication on percentage of people feeling thermally neutral than that indicated according to the PMV values calculated, comparing to the percentage based on people's actual thermal sensation vote in the context of non-AC, hybrid or naturally ventilated spaces.
Nevertheless, I think only through continuous empirical study can we further validate which model is more appropriate under certain climatic context.
Thank you, too, for revising the PMV component!
Cheers!…
C", then we will grab a value from list B and put it in list D, if an item in list A is "NC", then grab a value from List C and put it in list D. So, the results will be like the following.
May I ask how to do this list operation in GH?
Thanks!…

start (if there is a better one I would appreciate a hint), but I thought I populate a rectangle with points, interconnect the points to later let the borders of the rectangle attract each other.
I have 4 rectangles: A, B, C and D.
On each I have 20 points (A0-A19, B0-19, etc.)
Now I want to connect each point to all the points on the other rectangles, e.g. point A0 with all the (60) points on rectangle B, C, D.
I saw the discussions about the topic sorting lists (e.g. flipping), but I didn't see them fitting on this problem, or I don't know how to abstract them for me.
Also this is a problem I am having with another definition, so if someone could help me with that list stuff, I think I could use it furthermore.
But if there is a better solution to the rectangle organisation (tessellation), I am open for that.

sry for the long text…
orm of the model but when I try to add the piping to it, I get the message saying Windows has ran out of memory.
I am using Windows 7 and have tried going into the BCD as recommended here: http://wiki.mcneel.com/rhino/memoryincrease but I was not able to run this command.
I have then tried to increase my virtual memory within Windows, even up to 30GB with no luck.
I'm pretty sure I'm doing something really wrong here but I really need to get this modelled ASAP for a portfolio submission.
Any help would be very much appreciated!
Regards
James

d the workshop PDF from this link: http://goo.gl/bcvRNH Download event poster from this link: http://goo.gl/Q0KWCM Brief: Cairo is filled with barriers controlling people movements, suppressing them as well as detaining green and public spaces to the extent that most people have been taking these spaces for granted. Public spaces have been for a while the periphery of our daily life. We will explore in this workshop how we can manipulate and alter people’s perception and direct their attention to how these spaces are integral for city life. This exploration will be backed up by intensive technical tutorials introducing computational design and fabrication techniques and tools mainly Rhino, Grasshopper, Geco and Ecotect. Not only will this be the typical technical workshop, but rather you will also have the chance to be guided step by step on how these tools are used through out different design stages in a real world scenario. Design prototypes will be produced through 3D printing, the main workshop output will be a fabricated one to one functional model for one of the designs using our new in-house CNC machine. Tutors (check the PDF for bio): Olga Kovrikova, MArch DIA Alexandr Kalachev, MArch DIA Karim Soliman, MArch DIA Islam Ibrahim, MArch DIA Sherif Tarabishy, B.Sc. ou will see all of the available components on a ribbon at once so there is no need to keep clicking drop down menus.
It's all about discoverability with GH. What if you're a beginner and don't know about the Create Facility (dbl click canvas) how can you find Extr?
Even if you hover over every component or use the drop down lists you will not see the name Extr appear anywhere.
Sure it makes sense that Extr is short for Extrude but it's also the Nick Name of Extrude to Point component
So you can easily miss the fact that one has a Distance Input verses a Point Input.
I think I made the move to Icons around about the move from version 0.5 to 0.6, possibly before. I initially thought that I would go back to text because I loved the mono chromatic look of the text but I soon realised that Icons were the way forward. The greatest benefit is speed. You don't need to digest and decipher every component (which is written 90 degrees to the norm).
I'm not saying you should move to Icons forthwith but at least consider that once you have a better knowledge and understanding of GH, Icons will set you free.
My top ten tips that I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to better themselves with GH.
1) Turn on Draw Icons
2) Turn on Draw Fancy Wires
3) Turn on Obscure Components
4) Use the Create Facility like a Command Line eg "Slider=-1<0.75<2" or "Shiftlist=-1"
5) Use Component Aliases to customise your use of the Create Facility eg giving the Point XYZ component an alias of XYZ will bring it up as the first option on the Create Facility as opposed to the other possibilities.
6) Try to answer other people's questions even if it's not relevant to your own area. By looking into solving a problem outside of your comfort zone and then posting your results it is very rewarding but it also lets you see the other approaches that get posted in a new light.
7) Take the time to understand Data/Path structures.
8) Buy a second monitor - There is nothing that can compare to real estate when working in Grasshopper.
9) Read Rajaa Issa's Essential Mathematics
10) Pick a panel in a tab on the ribbon and get to know every component inside and out and then move on. Start with the Sets Tab > List Panel…
