mmon.sdk ,but i herad its used in rhino5.
or example: the book grasshopper primer second edition ,page 98
i dont know what is the "doc.absolutetolerance" and where i can find about it....i dont kow it should be a class or a fuction,i tried to search the rhino4. net sdk,i cant find it ....maybe its my searching problem.
but according to the grasshopper primer, i indeed know many kind of Variables, many functions, basic structure, loops, and conditions, and what is onutil.xxxx and rhutil.xxxx.but i found all this imformation is not helpful enough to me when reading the examples downloaded from many disscussions.when i found a new variable or new funcion,i dont know where i can find the introduction about them, such as the upper coding:"doc.absolutetolerance".i tried to use the auto complete such as
dim xxxx as oncurve
xxxx. to find the class oncurve's funtions and variables ,but its too uneffcient.
-----------------------------------------------
And,i dont know the difference between the components vb script and dotnet vb script....
because i found when i type onutil. the auto complete has noting appear...and the variables declaring is not the same. in vb script dim xxxx as curve but in dotnet vb script its dim xxxx as oncurve, which is the same as the grasshopper primer teached me...but i guess.... the vb script component is just like the rhinoscript(not the same),and the dotnet vb script is more powerful than it. am i right?
------------------------------------------------
at last i dont know these.
Imports System Imports System.IO Imports System.Xml Imports System.Data Imports System.Drawing Imports System.Reflection Imports System.Collections Imports System.Windows.Forms Imports Microsoft.VisualBasic Imports System.Collections.Generic Imports System.Runtime.InteropServices
when i search google about them, the introduction about them is too professinal for me to understand......i just want to know what i can do by using them ...
-------------------------
sorry for disturbing you so much!!!
best regards!

- 100.
After that, I want to separate it into 5 different lists in spesific thickness.
in this case of 0-100 so it would be :
1. if the distance 0 - 20 then the thickness is 5
2. if the distance 21 - 40 then the thickness is 10
3. if the distance 41 - 60 then the thickness is 15
4. if the distance 61 - 80 then the thickness is 20
5. if the distance 81 - 100 then the thickness is 25
But, the problem is the list of distance isn't static between 0-100. It could be 5 - 250 / 3.5-175/etc.....
Could you help me how to make the expression?? Is this possible if I make one expression?
thank you.
Z.
nb: distance and thickness hasn't mathematical relation.…

you can open the studyFolder (it's one of the outputs of run daylight analysis component.) and check *.bat files. There is a rpict or rtrace line that you can see all the parameters listed. Mine is:
rpict -i -t 10 -vtv -vp 43.111 -74.673 49.782 -vd -0.433 0.750 -0.500 -vu 0.000 0.000 1.000 -vh 54.328 -vv 26.991 -vs 0.000 -vl 0.000 -x 64 -y 64 -af unnamed_IMG.amb -ps 8 -pt 0.15 -pj 0.6 -dj 0 -ds 0.5 -dt 0.5 -dc 0.25 -dr 0 -dp 64 -st 0.85 -ab 2 -ad 20 -as 128 -ar 16 -aa 0.001 -lr 4 -lw 0.050 -av 0 0 0 unnamed_IMG.oct > unnamed_IMG.unf
aa and ad values are changed in this example.

uld like to split this solid with different geometries to create gaps into the tower, without seeing an empty tower or only a thin skin.
Is there a way to do this? I have put the grasshopper file in the attachment.
The image below shows what form I finally will achieve, three segments of a tower who can rotate apart from eachother. Whit on one side a straight sloping surface, and the rest af the surface is curved.
Is there another way to achieve the same but then in an easier way?

h exergy/low entropy to dispersed/disordered/low exergy/high entropy. AC or DC electricity is a very highly ordered form of energy and thus is very valuable while thermal energy is a very disordered form of energy and thus not so valuable (or just much easier to obtain). Accordingly, it is really not correct to draw an equivalence between thermal and electrical energy, which is what you are doing when you add them together.
You can always use the "Separate Data" component and the native grasshopper math components to add the E+ results together but I wanted users to be aware that this is not a method favored by the scientific community.
From what I understand, the daylight threshold had never really been implemented on the back end. We might do this at some point.

akes the linear regression of the Schroeder integral over 30 dB worth of decay. Whether it is T-15 or T-30, they all seek to estimate the RT, which is always always the time it takes for sound to decay 60 decibels.
The website has benchmarks, for your reference. You can find them under the 'Pachyderm' drop down menu, under 'Benchmarks'.
Your model may well require millions of rays to be accurate. It sounds like a very large space. I'm sorry if that is an unpleasant answer. Sometimes it does help to have a computer with more cores to help with this. I have gotten up to 90% processor usage on a 12 core machine before.

hat differ in shapes, sizes and height the facade would be a mess. Some spaces need some light while other can't have any. I would like to have full freedom of creation inside the building, to make it as functional as possible. Thats why i decided the parametric "skin" solution would be best. Since the location has industrial past (factories made of brick) i decided that brick would give interesting result.
I tried creating the definition on my own but since i lack skill in GH i got some problems (especially multiplication of bricks and the diffrence between each "level" (half a brick on y axis) caused problems for me.
I post my simple sketch explaining the idea of definition i would like to create (sorry about quality):
1 - Brep - I would like to use 25x12x6cm (classic brick) but as well experiment with diffrent shapes - like the one on the right with hole inside - that would give more light. Thats why i think the best solution would be using brep for this definition.
2- Multiplication - biggest problem for me - I don't know how tall the wall would be, what will be the final shape of Brep (brick) and that's why i would like to manipulate this with sliders as well. All the walls are flat (maybe it would be easier to use surface?). As i managed to multiply the bricks easy way i don't know how to gain control over height of the wall - for example that it is 30 bricks high, but has each second row moved on x axis by the distance of 1/2 brick. I tried using Series but with no success. Could you help me with that please?
3 - Rotation - i would like to use image sampler for that so i can "paint" where i want more sun and where i dont need it at all (black and white). The rotation has to be limited to 180 degrees as well. Obviously i didn't get here yet, but i never used image sampler so if you could give me some advice how to use component and how to create such images i would be really grateful.
4 - More of a concept thing - since the connection angles differ from 90 degrees i will have to figure out how to connect the parts of the wall at sides ;).
I would like to ask you for help with the defintion, since i am totally stuck at step 2. I post what i came up with so far. Thank you for your time and help!
PS. I post an image that is pretty similar to one of options i would like to check for my building.

blinds be (B1,B2..B5). Then the geometry for the five iterations will be ((A+B1), (A+B2)...(A+B5)).
And assume that you are measuring illuminance at four points inside the room (x1,x2,x3,x4) and one point outside the room(y1).
The way Daysim works ( and should work as per the best of my understanding) is that for each setting of the blind (ie. B1,B2,..B5), a separate value of (x1,x2,x3,x4) gets calculated through the Daylight Coefficient Method. So let's say you have illuminance thresholds of (p,q,r,s,t) corresponding to (B1,B2,..B5). What the shade-control algorithm does is that it compares the illuminance at y1 with your threshold of (p,q,..t) and then chooses a value of (x1,x,2,x3,x4) on basis of that. So, when we repeat this process for (365x24=)8760 hours , we end up with a value of a shade setting for each hour which was set on basis of your threshold illuminance values.
I would have gladly answered your question on HB itself, however, I usually work with Daysim directly through commandline.
(BTW, if you are interested in reading more about Daysim google Christoph Reinhart's dissertation on the subject, along with some papers by Zack Rogers).…
nts but as there are polylines and surfaces in it, they are conflicting as the geometries are overlapping and intersecting.
The input for the model is a centre point and four connecting points: we can call them CNT, A, B, C and D. The model works for these points - it's quite complicated with lots of polylines, vector geometry, surfaces, rotations, etc. - but it still works and has an output of two breps.
If I had a compilation of N sets of CNT, A, B, C and D's, is there a way of feeding each of these into the grasshopper in individual sets rather than just plugging in the huge set of numbers - e.g. feeding in CNT1, A1, B1, C1 and D1 and getting a result before moving on to CNT2, A2, B2, C2 and D2?
I've tried looking through tree structures, but it seems to be failing when the size of the set isn't known - e.g. how to extract all the information from trees when N isn't know using list item (i=0, i=1, i=2..., i=N).
I hope I've managed to explain the problem adequately, I can make up an easier to understand Grasshopper model later if I haven't explained well...
Thanks in advance for any comments, pointers, etc.…
ty lots as extrusions with their height depending on perimeter length. Then I added a 'Cull Duplicates' group to avoid properties that had duplicate 'Area' centroid points. That reduced the number of properties from 364 down to 331, though five of those have 'Area' values between 88 and 205, ten have values less than 500 while the average is ~1.3 million!
So the data is still suspect. Some appear to be nested inside of others? But using those 331 properties, I now find 32 that intersect the 'Zoning Districts'. But that's not the same as a list of properties that span two or more 'Zoning Districts'... Not having fun anymore. :)
