2014 at 8:37am), from which I downloaded files below. You will see that there is a pattern made by curves (called in the file "CrvsToTranspose"). I tried to create my own pattern in Rhino, but I have issues to "link" it, to make it correspond with a new Crv in GH. Like that i can replace the original pattern by mine. Does someone know how to do it?
I found also that lines made in "CrvsToTranspose" are kind of located in ManageCurveCollection (with right clic on "CrvsToTranspose), maybe should I add my rhino curves in a collection? But, frankly I have no idea how to do it!
Thanks for your help!
Best regards

used of 180 being for the northern hemisphere and 0 for the southern hemisphere. For the optimal tilt, to my knowledge, they are mostly based on correcting location's latitude through a single formula.TOF component is more sophisticated. It essentially replicates the Solmetric's Annual Insolation Lookup tool. What it does is that it creates a grid of points. Each point represents the calculated annual insolation on the surface (PV module, SWH collector, facade, any kind of surface) for a single tilt and azimuth angle. Each point is then elevated according to the annual insolation values. The mesh is created from that grid of points. The portion of the mesh which is the highest, represents the optimal tilt and azimuth angles. So the higher your "precision_" input is, the more points in a mesh you'll have - thus the more precise final optimal tilt and azimuth will be.For the diffuse component of the annual incident solar radiation for each point the Perez 1990 modified model is used. Direct is from classical cosine law, and Ground reflected component from Liu and Jordan (1963).So TOF component calculates the optimal tilt and azimuth based on annual incident solar radiation, not AC energy....…
its way into parametric design on 24th February – 2nd March 2014. The workshop is designed to fulfill students' as well as professionals' requirements. The exceptional 30 seat workshop is part of the regular series of events called Parametric Bratislava, which is itself a unique activity in the central-european space. One week long workshop focused on architectural form-making, usage of digital techniques of parametric design is going to lead participants to the new approaches in both, design and architecture. ECOTYPE workshop is going to take place on 24th February – 2nd March 2014 (1 day optional Crash course + 6 days main course) at the Faculty of architecture, Slovak University of Technology. Renowned Serbian experts from Grupa Arhitekata Jelica Jovanović and Dragana Petrović are going to join forces with Italian Noumena architects Aldo Sollazzo and Iker Mugarra Flores to bring together the natural and the digital. The workshop is going to look into digital sensing structure subsystems, constituted by associative simulations of the relations between tectonics and the environment in which human activities take place according to specific programs. It is going to provide and control a constant flow of information about the changing internal and external conditions which is processed by a computational subsystem articulated by Rhinoceros 5 ( NURBS-based 3D modeling software) + Grasshopper 3D & Sub-Plugins (generative computation tools). Through these means new design opportunities are going to be explored. The resulting proposal challenges conventions and the way that design is conceived, stepping away from linear process and embracing holistic approaches. ECOTYPE workshop is meant for intermediate Grasshopper users. For the newcomers there is going to be available an optional one day Rhinoceros 3D + Grasshopper Crash course with Ján Pernecký (rese arch) and Fabio Palvelli (3D-Dreaming.com). The beginners are going to learn basic NURBS modelling, import/export techniques, best drafting practices and basic Grasshopper scripting – workflow, parameters, components, data structures, attractors, surface subdivision, mathematical and logical operations. - Aldo Sollazzo focuses on exploring critical issues in architecture, design, and urbanism through parametric design, scripting, and fabrication strategies.
- Iker Mugarra Flores is mainly specialized in advanced geometries and logics, prototyping and fabrication, environmental morphologies and holistic approaches to large and small scale strategic design ecologies.
- Jelica Jovanović is within Docomomo working on proposals for the protection and sustainable preservation policies of the modern movement architecture in Serbia.
- Dragana Petrović specializes on Bioclimatic design in Architecture.
- Ján Pernecký - Architect, researcher, curator, programmer, organizer.
- Fabio Palvelli - Architect, designer, researcher and publisher of architectural projects, workshop organizer. ECOTYPE's approach is focused on the architectural view of the geometry. The participants are going to get acquainted with a vital tools for producing algorithm-driven shapes with a strong sustainable concept. lite’ of education that promotes the Architectural Association’s exclusive, intensive form of teaching and learning around the country. AA Greece VS aims on visiting a different city each year and construct a single large-scale model which will act as an active nod of communication among the various locations.
In 2014, the School will initiate its design agenda with an architectural approach that is focused on the aspect of connection. The city of Patras which is the starting node of AA Greece VS, was chosen by the European Commission to be the European Capital of Culture for the year 2006. The concept of the event revolved around the main theme of "Bridges" and "Dialogues", drawing benefit from the city's rich history and its position as a "Gate to the West", to underline the essence of the productive interaction of culture and civilizations in Europe. The AA Greece Visiting School investigates how well existing buildings with various sightlines and variant spatial grammars perform according to human perception. In sync with the flexible and adaptive concept of parasitical structures, the research focuses on the making of transformable large-scale creations that accentuate prominent architectural features of existing buildings. The research looks at how cultural factors, specific preferences, experiences, and expectations can lead to the transformation of architectural parasitical structures.

at keeps me from modifying 'easier' the structure (in the same time not much time to study it since its for school). What I am intending to do next is to create 2 vertical 'pillars' (always in space frame), placed on the extremities, which would have its starting points(of the lines that generates the frame) at the center of a certain sphere (for exampling for the length 3 spheres..)going perpendicular to the 'ground' (plan x,y). So I do understand more or less how it works and all, but don't know the use of many functions from GH (started using since september 2014)....
Could please someone help me, ( if possible explain me) how to do it what to use ( using a language for a Noob to understand) Thx to whoever responded to my help 'demand' and may you be blessed :D
if it makes it any clear what i need ;)…

is an emerging research area that exploits the principles and logic of natural systems in the design of the built environment. Sandworks* investigates the development of a computational design system informed by the sand self-formation behaviour. The knowledge objective is to understand the process of coding the material physical behaviour that follows the geometrical constraints of developable, ruled and hyperbolic surfaces formed by sand. Through physical and digital form-finding exercises, the workshop will explore the relationships between material and its shaping processes in the generation of form in parallel to theoretical lectures and discussion on cutting edge approaches of computational thinking, design and fabrication in architecture and design. Participants will be introduced to ruled based design thinking through digital design and fabrication systems as well as physical modelling and prototyping techniques.. The workshop aim is to provide an understanding framework of how such processes occur in nature and find their translation in the design of the artificial. *This research started at the Architectural Association school of architecture in London exploring the design and fabrication techniques of sand tectonic system and now it is pursued at ENSA Paris-Malaquias focusing on the development of the machinic morphogenetic possibilities of sand self-formation with robotic distribution of material through addition, subtraction and deposition techniques.www.sandworks.org /// Application To apply, please follow this link to fill the application form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1n_LN2svFTT79kCqndxznKRj4PX8J8__FVNKvjiHTeJU/viewform /// Fees* 1700 EGP for students / 2000 EGP for graduates and young professionals * 20 % discount for early registration and payment before 22 nd of August 2014 more info on the workshop webpage: http://www.encodestudio.net/#!sandworks/c1nn1…
