Conformal map via circle packing

Remeshing, circle packing optimization used to generate a conformal mapping. Top left is the original shape remeshed and circle packed. Right is a mesh with the same connectivity pulled to a new boundary, while preserving the circle packing. This allows the mapping (using some mesh mapping tools from the new Kangaroo) of a grid from one mesh to the other while preserving angles.

    Hi Ethan,

I'm in the process of updating this definition for the new version of Kangaroo and hope to post something soon.

    hi Daniel,
I was wondering if there is a way to circle pack a 3d mesh based on its curvature?
where high degree of curvature would have smaller sized circles and low degree of curvature would have larger scaled circles?

I'd really love to know more about this. Is there an example file on how this works?
