Mapping a hexagonal grid on a surface + Karamba for beam sizes

Results from day 3 of our Grasshopper level 2 workshop with Simply Rhino: Mapping a hexagonal grid on a surface based on UV parameters. Then using Karamba to define the thickness of the beams based on bending moments. http://www.simplyrhino.co.uk/rhinotraining/rhinotraining.html

    Arthur,

I'm working on a project involving hexagonal geometry in karamba, and saw this posting yesterday.  I rebuilt the script based on your attached image, however when I set a surface to the definition, cplanes explode all over the model.  Is there something that's missing or that I'm not doing correctly?  I would like to see the feasibility of this exercise as an exploratory iteration.  Maybe the fact that im just drawing a rectangle and patching it 2x2 to use as a surface?
