Bending Moments or Variables

Hi guys,

I'm just wondering whether kangaroo has the potential to graphically output bending moments or, if not, whether it can output force values which could then be used to calculate bending moments at points and then interpolate them with grasshopper which would give a graphical output.

For starters I'm just thinking a point load in the centre of a simple beam. This is quite simple to do with the mathematical functions in grasshopper, as the force and length are known, but it would be interesting to know if kangaroo could be used to obtain the same result.

I'm basically just trying to determine what kangaroo could potentially output (ie. bending moments, shear or axial force, deflections, stresses, etc)

Thanks for any feedback anyone might have

    Hi Brady

I made a simple bend curve and put 2 forces on it, please try to calculate if the forces

disturbs the bend original curve or not...

There are 2 forces: a spring force (Hooke´s) and a U force (Gravity)

I put a End Point than you can just fix one point do calculate the bend curve with one anchor point...

    Sory for my street english...
