catenary on generic surface

i tried many solutions but i don't understand why the kangaroo doesn't work on generic surface.

I must create a surface/mesh that respect the gravity force but the base curve must stay on the ground. In order to create a dome.

    in dom3 you're super close...instead of using the list of points from weaverbird's list of points in the mesh, use the vertices output from the mesh nakededge component.  The order of the points differs between the two.
