Increasing Stiffness of mesh naked edges.

Hi all,

I am currently playing around with a cable net structure and I would like to know if anyone managed to control the stiffness of a mesh boundary.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I am trying to identify the outer border of the mesh and apply to it a different stiffness.

 

 

 

 

 

I tried to list the naked vertices and extrapolate them but without success.

 

I would really appreciate your help or comments...

    Hi Ed,

     

    UTO's mesh tools contains a NakedEdge component that will be more useful here than the Kangaroo NakedVertices one. You can then easily assign a different stiffness to the boundary:
