umbrella mechanics

Hello all, I am trying to model the mechanics of an umbrella, I was wondering if anyone could point me to a similar example, or give me an idea as to how I could build this, or a mechanism based on the same principals (fixed pivot points)

Here is a quick linkage, maybe it can be helpful...I had an umbrella version, but do not have access to it now...
