What is the difference between using power law attraction and a spring of rest length 0?

Hello,

I am not entirely sure but think the Power Law create an attraction or repulsion between particles - but struggling to understand the difference between this behaviour and assigning a spring with a rest lentght of 0 for attraction or a high value for repulsion?

hope you can help :)

many thanks,

Arthur

Power laws are distance-dependent, getting exponentially more attractive/repulsive based on proximity.
