Kangaroo is a Live Physics engine for interactive simulation, optimization and form-finding directly within Grasshopper.
Hi everyone,
I am trying to simulate in kangaroo a 3d textile, in attached you can find a picture of this fabric.
In particular, I'm trying to obtain the same deformation between real model (img_1085) and modelled one (frontview), but unfortunatly in kangaroo model the curvature is completely in the wrong direction.
I have modified stiffness and rest lenght but nothing changes.
Is it possible to simulate this type of fabric? In attached you can find the grasshopper file.
Thanks so much for any help.

Hi,
You might not be able to get a 3D textile shape which is creaseless or uniform in tension. It would be a better idea to do some form-finding, to understand the behavior.
