Hi all,
I´m trying to simulate the behavior of a planar irregular surface (for example a weirdly shaped wall clock) when fixing/nailing it at a point and gravity is applied. This way I want to find out where I can mount a wall fixture so that my shape hangs the way I intended it to.
Could anyone help me to get the simulation working? So far I only got the entire mesh to fall down instead of rotating around the fixed point.
Thanks in advance for you help,
Florian

Forgot to mention...uniform material density can be assumed.

Hi Florian,
I don't think there is actually any need for a simulation here.
Couldn't you get the line from your nail to the centre of mass (in Grasshopper Surface>Analysis>Area), then rotate about the nail so this is vertical?
