I am utilising the video tutorials by ExLab for the subject 'Studio Air' at the university of Melbourne. The video (if anyone would like to watch it) is 5.03 Tree Menu (https://vimeo.com/60594155).
I am trying to use the relative item component as a means of creating patterns on surfaces. At around 8 minutes in the video talks about using relative item and I have followed the tutorial step by step and have the exact same script as they show in the video yet I cannot get any patterns to be produced (i.e. having a sphere, and using relative item to create diagonal lines rather than horizontal/vertical). (See screenshot).
Please have a look at my script, I've made it self-contained in grasshopper. Would really appreciate if someone could please explain why the poly lines will not appear and why the relative item component isn't working?
Hmm ... I'll prepare a small ("simple", he he) tutorial on that matter.
In the mean time: are you by accident familiar with C#? (I have lot's of examples about creating lot's of patterns [any pattern imaginable, in fact] using solely code).

Hi Matthew, use a semicolon instead of comma in the relative offset notation.
