Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I drew a line in Rhino, introduced it into Grasshopper, offset it, then I want to loft two lines into a surface, however for some reason, it doesn't work and I don't know why.

please check the JPEG screen shot.

it's pretty weird.

The image says it all. Take a look at the panel coming from the referenced curve. There is a little {0} at the top, denoting the branch this curve is sitting on. Now take a look at the Offset curve panel. Its branch looks like this {0;0}. So when you bring these into the loft component, it thinks you are giving it two different lists of items, each list in this case just has one curve. It only sees one curve at a time like this. The solution is to make sure the two curves are on the same branch. Easiest thing to do is to right click on the 'S' input of the loft, and select 'Flatten'

hope this helps
