I got this situation, 3 surfaces in Rhino, connected together with a sharp edge, please check the screenshot.I tried the join command, but it just groups the 3 surfaces together not converts the 3…Continue

please check the attachment pic. I'm just curious, what kind of program was employed to make these curvy curves. (Rhino+plugins? scripting?)recently I've being told this was made by Maya, but I…Continue

an offset question

I made a series hexagons on a grid, and tried to offset those hexagons, why some of them offset inward, and some of them offset outward? pretty weird. I'm using Rhino 4.0 + Grasshopper 0.8.0001Continue

I've got similar problem with few closed curves. Even though that i flip them i gives the sam wrong result. "Reparametrize" option didn't help. Anyway, what "Reparametrize" option does in general ?

all right, I get it, in my case, I need to reparameterize them......   thank you so much, literally save my life....

here is my problem: say I got 10 lines, and the no. 2, 5, 7 need to be flipped, I did exactly what you did in grasshopper, and no.2,5,7 did flip, but the rest of the line reversed as well.   why is that?

thanks so much, for some reason it doesn't work for me, but I'm gonna keep trying, i got the feeling that you are right.   one more question, (see the attached screen shot) do you have any idea of what going on at the tip of these…

The curves are in different directions and need to be aligned before lofting. Use the Flip Curve component and input the first curve as a guide so that only curves in opposite directions will be flipped.

I got two sets of lines and tried to loft them up to make a blinds like effect, but the lofting is just so messed up, some of the vector directions are totally different. please see the attached jpg file. does anyone know how to flip some of the curve directions within a list and not disturbing the index order of that list?See More

Hi,   What is what you want to achieve by having a single surface with this shape? you could use the creasespliiting command in rhino and loft 4 curves with the straight option, see attached. Yo can play with the profile curves you loft as…

Just checking..... Have you got the right Project Component? Curve>Util>Project It should have 3 inputs C,B and D and 1 output C   You can use any of the following Geometry Params: multiple surfaces in Surface or a polysurface in BRep or…

converting the polysurface into single surface, is that possible?   otherwise how am i supposed to introduce the polysurface into grasshopper?   I'm right now using the Geometry container in Grasshopper to hold the polysurface, but…

That's still a polysurface

You can keep em sharp with the loft options' T input set to 3.

In which case it has to be a polysurface.

it's not planar, I tried the lofting command as well, but those sharp edges were gone which I want to keep.

If your surfaces happen to be planar then you could make a planarSrf from the Edges of your joined BRep. But I suspect from the image that they are not. In which case you you are going to have to create section curves and loft them. (Thinking out…

I got this situation, 3 surfaces in Rhino, connected together with a sharp edge, please check the screenshot.I tried the join command, but it just groups the 3 surfaces together not converts the 3 into 1. so is there anyway to do the converting thing?See More

It could certainly be done in Rhino, one of my friend's final architecture school projects had similar curviness.  They might have used a definition in grasshopper to fill in the more complex geometry. Easily could have been rendered using…
