does anyone know how to capture a view in Rhino but in higher resolution than the screen's one? -without scripting- thanks!
If a script is needed and there is no other way, could someone please write it for me -if it is a really small one-, because i really need it?? THANK YOU

I AM USING RHINO 4

as far as I know, this is not possible.

thanks for the reply!

but there must be a way to present your view in higher resolution than the screen's!! you can design very complicated geometry in rhino and you cant do this???

type "-viewcapturetoclipboard" in the rhino command line. Make sure you include the dash, as this brings up options for the command. This will allow you to change the resolution of the capture.
no, it doesn't work. Either with - or _ the viewcapture commands dont give you any options

This is a screenshot from a series of commands in Rhino 4.0 SR8.

Do you get the same?

no, it opens the save window to specify a name and the location to save it! :((

Check that you have:

- Rhino 4.0 SR8

- The dash (-, minus) before the command ViewCaptureToFile

- You type the location where you want to save (do not click Browse)

If this does not work, then we can check through Skype what is going wrong. Thanks,

Great  to know the "-" things...Thanks~~

but would you explain more about the "-" ??? when would it leand to a different results from "_"??

@ idtasos: weird you get no options, it should. Check Giulio's screenshot: first it will ask you where to save the file and then give you the options about resolution, etc.
Nice! I totally ignored that..

i got it! writting -viewcapturetofile and not _view..file or clicking the menu

thank you!

Thanks again Alessio! one more question: is there a way to set the default width and height of the saved image, so as not to have to specify it all the time? -the default is always the screen's resolution-

thanks!
