algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello

I'm trying to work on bubbles with tessellation... or even spheres...after hours of trying i cant just figure out hwo to aglomerate bubbles without the voroni system, my teacher wants me to create bubbles but i cannot use voronoi, its just out of the question because its been used time after time, I just need to come up with something new, and well..

I recently found out about tessellations trough structdrawrhino and it looks promising but does anyone know how i can force it to make bubbles or spheres? is it possible to combine that?

I just made some random spheres here..... but nothing too complex, in fact its easy but i want to know if its possible to combine it with tesselations.... and also fr it to not look rigid.... to have spaces between some bubbles.

Thanks

I've seen a couple of threads about this here.  What exactly is the restriction against Voronoi?  I mean, you could hand-roll a bubble system that will give you very similar results to Voronoi, but then you've just got a slow, poor approximation of Voronoi.  I assume it's to get a different type of look?  If so, are you looking to have more curved edges, or different sized cells, or what?

I love solving these kinds of problems, but I'm a little unclear what the restrictions are, and what kind of result you're trying to achieve..

Well basically we gotta make a 540 feet or 130 tower and we had to choose a theme, bubbles came out but the teacher said not to use voronoi because it's been used a lot, so that's why we can't use it, at the moment I sort of changed the focus, for the next revision I'll concentrate on the properties of the bubbles, but not it's shape, I'll just use other figures at the moment that react with the same parameters as bubbles do, at least until I find a way to make bubbles without voronoi.

Thanks for your interest :3
