algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi all.
I just want to know if it is possible to run parametric energy simulation as parametric daylight analysis in tutorials? since i work on multi-objective optimization, i think it's better first run all possible solutions and then use them for optimization. any idea in this case can be so helpful.
Thanks in advance.

One of my students used Microsoft Azure for his studies and it worked perfect for him. I'll share the link to this discussion with him so he can add more details.
Hi Tasos,
I was using Azure to host all my files that is needed for DesignExplorer.
Microsoft provide a free 1 G storage web host on Azure, and here is the link:https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/app-service/
Microsoft will give you a customized domain, such as http://yoursite.azurewebsites.net, and then after you uploaded all images, you can access files by http://yoursite.azurewebsites.net/yourfolder/image.jpg, and you can use this link for DesignExplorer.
Hi Tasos,
I made a video of fixing this issue, here is the link:

Thanks Mingbo! I'm making it easier for people to watch it by embedding the video.
I've been working with DesignExplorer and encountering some of the same issues I've seen other people are struggling with. Here's what I found:
1. Files had to have at least 61 runs - no idea why but otherwise I'd get the img and threeD text strings coming in as inputs/outputs (see below)
2. I could use dropbox but I had to repalce https://dropbox.com/ with https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/ and delete the "?dl=0" from the end of the link . Supposedly this creates a "directly downloadable file". It's also the format from the DE sample file.
3. The ftp hosting (from Tasos) worked for my images but not for my json files.
I'd be curious to see if anyone else has struggled loading json files that are hosted on an ftp site. I'd prefer the ftp method to dropbox because copying dropbox links is tedious.
Lizzie,
1. That's a bug but meanwhile you can click on img and threeD in legend to remove them from the chart.
2. That is how it should be done. I'm happy ftp worked. Did you watch Mingbo's video?
3. I don't know the answer to this one but if you have an example I can take a look and see why is that happening.
Hi Mostapha, I'd love if you could take a look at two of my files - I have one (#17) that is pulling in my json files from dropbox plus images from both dropbox and an FTP site. But the img and threeD files are being imported as parameters still. I didn't replace all the image/json file addresses with my own files.
Then I have a second file (#19) where I replaced more of the line items with my own data but now the 3D images won't load. I have mostly dropbox links (per #17) but also one ftp link. I see this instead:
When I loaded my json file from dropbox or the ftp site into a plain webpage, it looked very similar to the dropbox json links from the DE example file. So I don't think it's the file itself.
