algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I am trying to find a good way of creating nice even meshes. I am struggling to find good settings for more difficult shapes...any help would be appreciated

Rhino meshing is meant to create a good visual representation of the NURBS surface.

You should define "even spacing". An even spacing might be a very bad representation like if your edge is curved with a smaller radius than your mesh faces...

Hi Hannes,

I am trying to do even mesh however I am always struggling at edges.

The same problem I am experiencing when doing calculation grid. I have very dense grid at edges and this is causing the problem because when I check lets say average daylight factor I got more points of high value and average daylight for a room is not correct. I need to have an equally spaced grid and if points are outside boundary shall be deleted. But I did not managed to do it so far.

For most calculations, precision will depend on mesh density but the resuls should roughly be the same. If your result largely varies, you should either check the calculation or look if you are misinterpreting the results.

Hannes, I agree about density but results will be different. I am talking here about taking reading for LEED daylight credit. In this case we take an average reading from all points and if we have more point of higher value than average value will be higher. That is why we need equally spaced grid...

As a side note mesh UV usually returns better results in certain meshs
