algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have found a way to isolate the a range of the points on the oval object and make a line to one other point on the oval. I am looking to shift this patter around the entire oval without shifting each list individually ten times. I want to create a streamlined process where I can easily increase the number of divisions.

I am trying to create a pattern that looks like:

Which I create with the script bellow, but goes all to hell when I try to apply it to the stretched geometry.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks!

For anyone who is following this I did more or less figure out what I was trying to do.

I do have one more issue however, when I divide and rotate the seam it does not rotate 100%. I have to rebuild the curve in rhino to a 100 points in order to get the rotation to a passable precision.

Does the divide function not divide the curve 100 percent evenly?

This might make for an easier solution, if I'm understanding your problem correctly...here I am using a second curve to intersect with the first to locate the seam, but you can evaluate for "t" in a number of ways...
