Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone,

I have a problem of finding the tool that is doing similiar thing as "PATCH" command in Rhino.

I have a Filleted polyline. This Pline are curved according to my surface input, which if curved. This curved Polyline cannot be surfaced, in order for it to be surfaced must be segmentized, which is cumbersome since I have random and undetermined sides of profiles along the curved surface as can be seen in Attached file.

In the attached file, one of the Filleted Pline curve had been manually PATCH using Rhino command. Whereas actually I want it to be patched (surfaced) during the Grasshopper process. In the picture attached. The Manually Patched surface is then extruded using other Grasshoppper Definition, other than the one I use to generate all the profiles, which is absolutely inefficient.

The thing that I want is to have A curved base surface Trimmed by the profile of the Filleted Curve. I was thinking of surfacing the profiles, than trim it with the base surface.

Does anyone have any idea to help me with this issue?

Thanks alot..

If you have the base surface and a closed curve projected onto it, all you need is the SrfSlpit component. Unlike patch, this will only trim the large surface so all the data is still there.
