Meshing a group of surfaces (for FEM analysis)

Hi everybody,

I'm designing  a steel joint using a FEM software, so I need a connected mesh of all the surfaces making part of the joint. More specifically I do not want open edges in the mesh.

I'm just trying to perform this action using GH, but the mesh is not connected.

Any suggestion ?

I'm attaching my very basic definition and some pictures.

You can join the mesh and than weld it with weaverbird.

check it. the input geometry is open.

using DW I've obtained an unique mesh with correct (even if too simple) edges, but I can not refine it, the mesh do not react to the parameter MAX EDGE.

Attached you can find a sample picture of what I'd like to define in GH: a generic group of surfaces that can be meshed with edge continuity...maybe too hard for GH
