I REMEMBER TO SAW SOMETHING ABOUT "METAL BALLS" ONE TIME LONG AGO THAT WAS ABOUT TO MODELING SHAPES LIKE THIS.

MAYBE THIS IS NO POSSIBLE WITH GRASSHOPPER I HAVE NEVER SEEN SOMETHING LIKE THIS IN GRASSHOPPER BUT MAYBE SOMEONE COULD HAVE AN IDEA.

THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS!

hhaaaaaah!?????

you can get some similar results via weaverbird. Although this has nothing to do with the actual physics of melting it is just visual. http://www.grasshopper3d.com/photo/mesh-corrosion?context=user

We definitively need some guidance on the way posts should look like, if not the rules.

- Define your topic title in accordance with your problem. "Please helppppp :(" is not an example of it.
- Punctuation sings and letter case make posts much clear and easy for other users to read it. Avoid writing your posts entirely in capital letters.
- In case of being stuck with a grasshopper problem, attach your .gh and .3dm files and. A screenshot is always helpful too. Even hand sketches can increase your chances of getting the right answer on time, without other users being puzzled about your problem.
- Be patient. Yes, your deadline is tomorrow morning, but that does not mean you need to post “Anyone, please, helpppppp :(” replies every 5 hours.
- Try searching the forum and entire web first. Maybe a similar problem (and solution) already emerged before.

All of this may sound implied by using any online community , but sometimes your wife needs to point out that she wants a gift and a flowers for each and every anniversary.

@Francisco: Above written does not apply to you entirely, it was just my opinion on some topics we've seen in here.

You should post this in FAQ section, really.

Beat me by seven seconds :D

Sometimes I feel like every new topic should be automatically scanned for keywords and the forums searched before you can submit clicking a button that says "Yes, i could not find an answer in those search results and I at least skimmed the basic tutorials"

Those guidelines should be posted in the FAQ. You know, the sticky topic, noone ever reads before posting?... ahm... nevermind.

It's quite obvious no one will ever read FAQ first (goodbye netiquette).

It is some kind of paradox : one has to become experienced user to know that there is a faq section. by that time he wont even need it. But still its a nice thing, cause experienced user dont have to write each time the same : just post a link to proper faq post.

I saw that on vbulletin forums - it returns the ten (or more I can not remember) top topics with similar keywords.
Quite handy.

I do not think something like that exists for Ning. But it would probably be possible to achieve it, using some custom codding.

Should be merged with http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/i-ve-posted-a-question-an... and put on top/featured.

Indeed.
